Configured to Protect Sensitive Information
In conjunction with ZixCorp’s strong background in HIPAA-compliant electronic communications, PocketScript has instituted rigorous policies and procedures to provide the highest level of protection for the sensitive information of our users and their patients.
PocketScript is deployed with a “thin client” approach, so that patient data or application logic is not stored on hand-held devices or desktop computers in the field. All sensitive information is stored within the protected data center, the ZixData Center.
The ZixData Center employs certified security specialists and regularly submits to intrusion testing by an independent third party to ensure its state-of-the-art security measures remain effective.
The ZixData Center also employs a four-layer approach to physical security. Access controls include:
- Electronic badge readers
- Biometric devices
- Continuous video recording of deep-access doors and hallways
- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week manned operations
Each staff member has been carefully screened, with background checks performed by a private investigation firm
